Thank you to everyone who supported our 2009 Serving Greensboro Together campaign. Whether you dined out at a participating restaurant or you are a restaurant owner who donated proceeds, know that you made a difference in your community and positively impacting the lives of others. And now, you have the opportunity to again Serve Greensboro Together by dining out on May 4th.
The proceeds from Serving Greensboro Together will be used by Greensboro Urban Ministry’s Potter’s House Community Kitchen to help feed the hungry in our area. Currently, Potter’s House feeds over 450 people every day; however, demand will be increasing as the warmer months arrive and high utility bills from the winter months come due. This spring will be particularly hard because of the recession and loss of many jobs, but the monies raised through Serving Greensboro Together will help to alleviate some of the worries and hunger for those most stricken by the recession.
Please join us in support of Greensboro Urban Ministry by dining out on May 4th. For more information, please visit www.greensborourbanministry.org. |
